Frequently Asked Questions

For most visa applications, including skilled migration, employer-sponsored, family and partner visas, we strongly recommend working with an Australian migration legal practitioner. They hold full law degrees, can appear in Federal Court, and provide legal professional privilege that RMAs cannot. RMAs hold only a Graduate Certificate and are limited in scope.
You can verify any agent’s registration on the OMARA register at mara.gov.au. Search their name or registration number and confirm the status is "Current" with no conditions or disciplinary findings.
Australia offers several skilled migration pathways including the Subclass 189 Skilled Independent Visa, Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Visa, and Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional Visa. Each requires a skills assessment and an Expression of Interest via SkillSelect.
The points test is used for skilled migration visas (189, 190, 491). Points are awarded for age, English proficiency, work experience, qualifications, and other factors. You need a minimum of 65 points to submit an EOI, though invitation cut-offs are typically much higher.
Yes. Australia offers partner visas, parent visas, and child visas for Australian citizens and permanent residents sponsoring family members. Processing times and costs vary significantly between visa types.
SkillSelect is the Australian Government's online system for managing skilled migration applications. You submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) with your personal details and points score. The Department of Home Affairs then invites the highest-scoring candidates in regular rounds. F4MG prepares your EOI and advises on timing to maximise your invitation chances.
Act quickly. Do not make any further payments. Gather all documents, receipts, and communications. Report the matter to OMARA, the Australian Border Force (1800 009 623), and Scamwatch. Seek advice from a qualified Australian migration legal practitioner as soon as possible.
Processing times vary widely. Skilled independent visas (189) may take 6–12 months. Employer-sponsored visas can be faster. Family visas may take 12 months to several years. These are government timelines outside any practitioner’s control. Book a consultation for realistic timeframes for your specific situation.
