Overview

The Subclass 802 Child Visa allows dependent children of Australian citizens or permanent residents who are already in Australia to apply for permanent residence onshore. It is the onshore equivalent of the Subclass 101 offshore child visa.

The child must be in Australia at the time of application and hold a valid visa. They must be a dependent child of an Australian citizen or PR, under 18 years old, or between 18–25 and a full-time student, or over 18 with a total and permanent incapacity.
