Overview
The Subclass 100 Offshore Partner Visa is the permanent stage of the combined 309/100 offshore partner visa application. It is usually granted to holders of the temporary Subclass 309 visa after approximately two years from the original lodgement date, provided the relationship is genuine and ongoing.
Once granted, the 100 visa allows you to live permanently in Australia, sponsor eligible family members, access Medicare, and work or study without restrictions. After four years of permanent residency, you may be eligible to apply for Australian citizenship.
