Subclass 590Student Guardian Visa
Allows parents or guardians of international student visa holders under 18 to accompany and care for their child in Australia.
Overview
The Subclass 590 Student Guardian Visa allows a parent or legal guardian to accompany a student visa holder who is under 18 years old to Australia. The guardian must remain in Australia throughout the student's study period to provide care.
The 590 visa holder has limited work rights: they can work up to 40 hours per fortnight when their student visa holder is in school. They cannot bring additional children to Australia on this visa unless those children also hold a student visa.
F4MG coordinates the 590 application alongside the student's 500 visa application to ensure both are processed together.
