Australian skilled visas

Australian Skilled Visas

Points-tested, employer-sponsored, and regional pathways for skilled workers and professionals seeking to live and work in Australia.

Skilled Visa Pathways

Australia’s General Skilled Migration (GSM) program uses a points-based system to select skilled workers who can contribute to the Australian economy. Most pathways also require a positive skills assessment. There are also employer-sponsored and regional pathways for those who don’t meet the points threshold for independent migration.

Points-Tested Visas

No employer sponsor required. You are assessed on your own merits.

Employer-Sponsored Visas

Sponsored by an approved Australian employer for a nominated occupation.

Graduate & Specialist Visas

For recent graduates and highly specialised workers.
